Dietary tags, allergens, and spice levels
Updated July 4, 2026
Every "is this gluten-free?" phone call is a customer who almost ordered online. The product editor carries the answers:
- Dietary tags — tap chips like vegan or gluten-free onto a product.
- Allergens — the same chip pattern for peanuts, shellfish, dairy, and the rest, displayed so customers can screen before ordering.
- Halal — a per-product flag.
- Spice level — a 0-to-5 picker, so "medium" means the same thing on every dish.
Heads up: Tags are information you publish, not a substitute for kitchen practice — keep them accurate when recipes change, especially allergens.
