Take your first order

Once your menu is published and Stripe is connected, your website takes orders on its own. Here's the flow from the customer's side and yours.
What the customer does
- Browses your menu and builds a cart on your website.
- Picks pickup or delivery. Pickup is on from day one; delivery only appears after you enable it and set up delivery zones.
- Chooses a time — as soon as possible, or a scheduled slot based on your hours and prep times.
- Pays by card (including Apple Pay and Google Pay), and can add a tip — preset percentages are offered (5%, 10%, and 15%), with 15% suggested by default.
- Gets an order confirmation with a tracking link.
Note: You can also let customers order now and pay cash when they collect. Cash-at-pickup and cash-on-delivery are separate toggles in your settings, and you can cap how large a cash order may be — anything above the cap has to prepay by card. Cash tips are whatever lands in the jar — the online order doesn't add one.
What you see
The order lands in your Orders section (reload to see new ones) and shows up live on your kitchen display if you've set one up. Customers can follow along at your site's order-tracking page using the order ID from their confirmation — pickup, delivery, payment, and kitchen status.
Before you announce online ordering, place one test order yourself end-to-end — menu to checkout to the Orders queue. It's the fastest way to spot a missing photo, a wrong price, or a modifier you forgot.
