Send email and SMS broadcasts

Updated July 4, 2026

The Notifications tab in Marketing is your broadcast desk: compose a message as email, SMS, or both, and send it to your opted-in subscribers.

  1. Sync subscribers first — one click pulls your existing customers into the subscriber list with their email and SMS opt-in status shown per person.
  2. Compose: an internal title, then the SMS body and/or email subject and body depending on the channel.
  3. Send yourself a test — test sends exist so the first render of your email isn't in a customer's inbox.
  4. Fire the broadcast. It goes only to opted-in recipients for each channel.

The guardrails

  • Send caps — your workspace has monthly and daily send limits for email and SMS, shown with current usage in the quota panel. A blast that would blow past a cap is blocked, not queued for later — you'd trim the recipient list (or raise the cap) and send again.
  • Caps and cooldowns — daily send caps, a cooldown between blasts, and a max-recipients-per-blast limit keep one enthusiastic afternoon from torching your sender reputation.
  • Opt-outs honored — unsubscribed customers are excluded per channel automatically.
